What if I have hard water or notice residue?
Hard-water minerals can react with soap-based shampoo bars and leave a waxy film. Start with thorough rinsing and avoid using more bar than you need. If residue persists, consider a hair-care product specifically labeled for hard-water mineral buildup.
When should I use a clarifying rinse?
If hair feels coated, heavy, or dull after thorough rinsing, consider a clarifying product suited to your hair and follow its label. The diluted apple cider vinegar rinse described above is optional, not a guaranteed treatment for buildup. Rinse it out, avoid contact with eyes, and stop using it if irritation occurs.
How should I store the bar?
Let the bar drain and dry between washes on a slotted soap dish, away from shower spray and standing water. Let it dry before packing it in a travel container.
Can I use it on color-treated hair?
